what i wore – h by henry holland floral dress

h by henry holland floral dress
it’s been a while, eh? i’ve been meaning to start doing outfit posts again, but other things kept getting in the way. i love clothes, so it’s nice to be able to share what i wear from time to time.  it’s also a learning process because i figure out what poses work well for me, and on the more technical photo side, how to get a semi decent photo of myself. somehow it’s harder taking photos of yourself than it is taking photos when you’re behind the camera!

anyhow. how cute is this h by henry holland floral dress? i love the shape/cut, but that floral print is freakin’ adorable. in the back it has a lace (of the corset-y kind) tie where you can tighten it to show your figure off more if you wish. i still think it looks better with a thin belt, but in those times where i prefer a looser but still figure showing fit it’s going to be great.

i decided to team it with boots (which by the way, are super comfortable and a nice boost to my height) to play down the ‘girliness’ of the pattern, and i really like how it looks with them. if i had a leather jacket too it’d look cute as hell but still badass. i see this as being one of those versatile dresses that you can wear with bare legs and sandals in the summer, or thick tights, boots and a cardie in the winter. yeah, i just really like this dress, okay?

I love that dress, I would definitely steal that from your wardrobe when you weren’t looking. There is nothing I love more than little floral prints, this dress would be right at home in my collection! x

they do it in debenhams, but i often see bits in charity shops too! quite a ‘young’ range, but there’s definitely items that suit most people.
