i thought i’d do something different for a change with my outfit photos this week, and have the photos in black and white. i was originally going to do them in colour as always, but when i was editing in camera raw i accidentally made one photo black and white and i really liked how it looked, so here you are!
i do have a bit of makeup on (only concealer and pink lipstick), but that’s not something you can’t see here ..but my skin has been looking pretty good lately, so i think i can get away with it! ALSO growing a fringe out is really frustrating. i keep trying but i’ve not been able to years because i always end up cutting it back to its straight blunt ways. perseverance, laura!
i love this skirt so much, it’s a lovely thick (but not too thick) creamy coloured wool that has a tweed-ish look to it. it’s the perfect pencil skirt length and fits like a glove. pencil skirts are always a wardrobe staple for me, they show my figure (without showing it off, if that makes sense) and they’re nearly always high waisted which i’ve always preferred because they cut off at my slimmest point and give the illusion i’m a little taller than i am.
i can’t deal with low cut skirts, and is part of the reason i don’t wear trousers as i can never find high waisted ones that i like within my budget. any recommendations?
i still feel weird wearing a hat, especially a beanie type one. i’ve had this for a couple years, but i always felt they never suited me until i got this one. there’s something about this one though that i feel comfortable with. also, it’s so warm and fits my head well, so that’s really good. always good to pop in a bag for when it starts getting really cold! this is one of my favourite cardies too, it has a 50’s look to it and i just love the detailing around the top!
