snapshots of my week – 2nd january

earlier in the week i found a lens i bought a couple years ago but hadn’t used much – a helios 44m. it was nice out so i decided to pop out for a little walk to take some photos. that ‘little walk’ turned into 2 hours but the weather was so nice, the sun was getting low and i was so happy to finally have some energy that it was a very welcome – and needed – walk.

anyhow, here’s some of the photos i took! i was quite surprised about the amount of flowers out, but it has been a reasonably mild winter so far, hasn’t it? i actually love this kind of weather ..cold, but not freezing, and bright/sunny and clear. if there’s a nice day next week i might take a photo-walk around cathays cemetary, so expect something a little less colourful next time.

thank you so much! no, it's an old russian lens (from the 60s or 70s) and they're quite easy to find on ebay. you need an adapter though (also easy to find on ebay) and there's loads of old lenses you'd be able to then use on your DSLR.
