snapshots of my week – 20th march

blossom is everywhere this week! i suspect we’ll be seeing a lot of it on blogs in the coming weeks. which is fine with me because i love seeing it.

it reminds me of two particular blossom trees from my child/teenage-hood. the first being a huge one that was in front of the library where i spent a fair amount of time. it made me so happy sitting and walking underneath it when it was in bloom.

the second – i can’t remember specifically where it was located – outside some houses near where i lived for a few months about ten years ago now. it was a bad time in my life and passing that blossom tree was a little beacon of hope for me. i think i even have a photo of it somewhere (from my XA!) ..i’ll find it for next week.

this week i’ve spent a fair bit of time indoors working on illustrations, looking for jobs and trying not to completely fall into despair over my financial situation. the good has outweighed the bad, the sun has been out and i got out for a couple of walks, so i’ll take that as a win. and blossom trees, you are my sign of hope. thank you for blooming and reminding me that things do get better.

Beautiful blossom. I spend most of January and February wishing that trees would start blooming in grey London. I’ve had a similar week. Started a new freelance contract on Tuesday, only to leave on Wednesday as it was completely not what it was supposed to be! Hope you have a better week next week. x Charlotte

The long-awaited appearance of Spring is always a great reminder of hope. I spied some blossom at the weekend and it totally made my week. Brighter days are on their way! :) x

It’s so nice to see the blossom on the trees – one of the best signs of spring! Hope next week is better for you – I think everything seems better when it’s sunny as well, so fingers crossed for some good weather!

flowers popping up and other signs of spring give me a bit of hope that is much lacking in the darker, greyer months.
