flowers ℅ serenata flowers
flowers! it’s always so nice to have flowers in the home isn’t it. this colourful bunch are from serenata flowers and are called ‘country brights’, and i can very much confirm that they are lovely and bright! country brights consist of: sunflowers, pink roses, purple lisianthus, wheat and tanacetum.
they actually came in a huge bouquet, but as i don’t have a vase big enough (still!) i seperated it into three lots. which worked out well because it meant there’s flowers in 3 rooms! i thought they looked pretty cute in my orla kiely pot.
there’s always the worry when you get flowers online that they don’t quite live up to the images you see. well, these most certainly did. crisp, alert and colourful and waiting to be admired. there were a few leaves that were starting to brown around the edges, but as there was so much in the bouquet i plucked them off and you’d never had known. to be fair i’ve had the same situation with flowers i’ve bought or received almost anywhere. most importantly though, the flowers were in tip top condition. if you want to see them ‘in motion’ there’s some shots of them in my latest snapshots video.
here’s a tip: when you’re getting flowers ready to put in a vase, cut the stems at a 45 degree angle. they’ll last much longer! learnt that one from my nan (but it’s pretty common knowledge). these are approaching 2 weeks now and still look good!
do you like these too? you can win them, or any bouquet of your choice up to the value of £40. all you have to do is use the widget below! giveaway is open for 2 weeks, and within mainland UK only (though if you live abroad and would like to send to a friend/family in the UK, that is allowed).
leaving a blog comment (see question in the widget) is a mandatory entry and if you don’t do this you will be disqualified from the draw. good luck!
