aka MY WORK IS IN A BOOK!
i still can’t fully grasp this. even though i’m holding it in front of me it still hasn’t fully sunk in. a lifelong dream is accomplished! i’d of course love to be in more books (maybe even make my own one day – gasp!) and need to kick myself to start attempting some mock book covers as that’s a long wanted dream/life accomplishment, too. it’s really spurred me to get creating more.
it will happen. it will.
the book is called mix and match: exploring contemporary collage and is published by sandu publishing. it explores, well, contemporary collage from over 30 artists and covers a relatively decent variety of styles. the artists included come from all over the world, but it’s wonderful to see collage can unite people wherever they are.
i think some of the artists that were initially due to be in this book weren’t included (i wonder why?) – but regardless this is a lovely well designed and well made book that i’m more than happy to be a part of. i’ll certainly be taking some time to look up some of the artists i haven’t heard of to appreciate their work a little better.
what do you think? do you have any life goals you’ve accomplished recently, or something you’re proud of and want to shout about? share below, lets cheer each other on!
ps. i may add a flick-through video here in the coming days, if that’s something people would like to see.
if you’re interested you can buy mix and match: exploring contemporary collage on amazon.
