i’ve been wanting to do an instagram favourites post for the longest time! as i’m sure many of you do too, i love instagram. there’s so many amazing people, and so many more to be discovered. personally i mostly follow illustrators (as you can probably tell from the selection of images here) as well as some photographers, shop owners – mostly stationery ones! and a few bloggers too.
i’m not sure i’ll necessarily do 9 each time, what day i’ll do it, or if i’ll find a theme for each post, but i guess i’ll find a routine once i’ve done a couple. this time round i’ve featured a few of my all-time favourite people to follow on instagram. i’ll have a sentence or two on why i like their accounts too.
if you ever have any suggestions for instagram accounts you think i’d love, please let me know! ps. you can follow me at @cardboardcities if you so desire!
without further ado, here’s some of my favourite people to follow on instagram:
@clarenicolson – colourful, creative and minimal. what more could you want? i think pink and yellow might be two of her favourite colours too as she uses them regularly.
@mariainesgul – maria shares her wonderfully simple illustrations, and from time to time, studio scenes. she’s been a favourite for years, and i’m sure you can see why.
@andsmilestudio – colour colour colour! the instant you look at her instagram, or anywhere where viktorija is, you’ll realise this is a lady who loves colour! she has a very recognisable style, and i’m sure many of you have seen (or own) one of her shrink plastic creations.
@presentandcorrect – definite all time favourite here. stationery, shots from london and elsewhere, shot in a way that is VERY aesthetically pleasing. swoon central.
@caroline_south – also colourful, creative and minimal, carolines instagram is an actual dream. nature, beach finds and occasional crafty bits. heart eye emojis all over my face!
@hanwarr – hannah’s illustrations are freakin’ awesome. i love seeing her work and behind the scenes/life shots.
@barbarawurszt – barbara was only a semi recent discovery, but i’m somewhat obsessed with her work. love the shapes and the colours she uses!
@atelier_bingo – fun, colourful, collage? yes yes yes! if i ever feel in a little creative slump this account always makes me want to get my paper and scissors out again.
@natillustration – i’m really quite smitten with natalies work, and thus, her instagram. her style is instantly recognisable and i love her limited (but still colourful) colour pallette.
