i have this thing with …reflections

i absolutely love seeing and taking photos of various reflections, especially when they’re really layered and almost look like multiple exposures. again – is this the collage artist in me, drawn to inexplicably layered visuals? no two photos are going to be the same and everyone has their own unique viewpoint. i guess that could be said of all photography though.

i can never resist snapping a photo if i see a particularly enchanting reflection, or can see that taking a photo from a certain position will result in something special.

i think there’s something innately human about being attracted to reflections, whether that’s your own, someone elses or objects reflecting off one another to create an interesting new composition. it’s a draw almost everyone feels on some level.

in particular, i have a real fondness for reflections in water. when it’s moving, even slightly, it lends a special magic to whatever is being reflected. it’s hard to put into words but it just sparks something deep inside me.

Saw your tweet asking for quotes on reflections. Beautiful photos, thought provoking. I’m very self-aware so love to deep think/reflect on life in general.
