christmas food in the cosy club

i can bet a few fellow cardiffians have been here – the cosy club! i was asked to show a favourite place in cardiff for millennium hotels ‘bloggers guide to cardiff‘ project in which ..well, bloggers from cardiff show you our favourite places and things to do in the city.

as you well know, i love the charity shops here, as well as roath park, the museum, chapter arts and many other places, but i thought it would be nice to do something together and treat my boyfriend to a nice meal. we’ve been to the cosy club before, and have loved the decor and food so this was the perfect opportunity to go again.

i didn’t actually know this beforehand, but we were given the christmas menu, which was a nice surprise. it consisted of shared tapas (i LOVED the crispy potatoes and cheese, and the hummus was delicious too), a main – we both had the turkey pie, mash and veg – and a desert. boyfriend had the christmas bakewell and i had an amazing brownie …quite possibly one of the best i’ve ever had. both came with a scoop of very nice ice cream.

thanks to my woefully small appetite i couldn’t manage all of the pie, but they kindly let me take the rest home (which i will be having/have had with some home made chips the day after). i did however eat all of the brownie. i mean ..how could i not. seriously good. oh! and i made a little video which you can watch below.

we were given vouchers for a meal in the cosy club in return for this post.

haha, that's weird! i love hummus but bit weird in that circumstance.
ps. totally want to go to bath some day! if you have any cafe/restaurant recommendations i'd love to know (apart from cosy club obviously).
