i want to write about this whilst it’s fresh in my mind, though i can’t imagine i’ll be forgetting about it in any near future.
recently i won a competition, and part of the prize was for me and a friend to make our own bespoke perfumes at floris, on ebury street (the flagship store is on jermyn street). making my very own perfume has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and one i thought would never actually be realised.
i invited sade of in my sunday best along with me as i sensed it was something she’d really enjoy (also because she’s wonderful) too.
we were invited down into the basement level, in a room filled with shelves of golden floris display boxes, perfume ingredients, petals in vases and greenery along the windowsill. read this post

last sunday i went on an ‘urban photowalk’ arranged by cardiff igers. i’d not been to one before (from these people, i’ve done a couple other photowalks – including the bristol photowalk i was part of!) so was a little bit nervous to begin with! it was a super sunny day which was ideal and made it easy to wonder around slowly. read this post

a couple of weeks ago i decided to go to the conservatory in roath park, as i’d somehow not been in there before. i’ve been missing out all these years living in cardiff! despite having to walk around barefoot due to my shoe strap breaking, it was absolutely worth it. also i got myself some chocolate cake on the way home. win/win. read this post

firstly i want to say thank you to edwards coaches, as i wouldn’t have been able to go to rhs cardiff without the tickets i won on their twitter!
rhs cardiff was located in bute park, which, if you don’t know it, is the park that runs behind and alongside cardiff castle. as i said, i won a pair of tickets and laura (and her lovely children) from side street style joined me on the saturday date. of course i would have enjoyed such an event by myself, but anything like this is always better with someone! read this post
