I’m not a fashion blogger per se, but I do enjoy fashion. From time to time I share things I’ve recently worn, wishlists, etc. Mostly charity shop items, but some new pieces too. Want to work with me on a post? Email me!
i bought this dress in my favourite cardiff charity shop a couple of years ago, and for some reason have barely worn it. so, with spring on its way i decided it should come out of the wardrobe!
this, to me is a great all weather dress. in the colder months i pop on a pair of tights and a cardie (because the dress is lined it adds an extra layer of warmth too) and in the summer, just as is, bare legs and bare arms! personally i think it looks better that way, this dress is too nice to hide. i think it’d look adorable with a straw hat, too. and some saltwaters! neither of which i actually have…
ahh, now i’m imagining sitting on a pretty beach somewhere, picnic on the sand, drink in hand basking in the warmth. oh to be warm right now!

this dress has been a favourite for a good few years now. it was a bit big when i bought it, and more now that i’ve lost a bit of weight, but not in a way that i wouldn’t want to wear it ha! it’s good to wear when i know i’ll be eating, but obviously looks good with a belt, too …more so when i’m not wearing a cardigan. i do like a versatile dress.
talking of cardigans, love this cashmere magenta number, too. to be honest i don’t wear it all too often, but when i do, i wear it with everything until it needs washing. probably not the best idea? ha, oh well ;). cashmere is wonderfully warm and soft this time of year though.
the moon brooch is a regular within my outfits, and i’d love a sparkly one too. etsy here i come!

oh navy pinafore dress, where have you been all my life?
i have a black jersey material one that i wear in the summer, but for the longest time i’ve wanted one for the colder months too, that could be worn with blouses or sweaters underneath as well as cardigans on top. i wanted something with a bit of shape to it, but not too fitted. i loved the look of corduroy ones, but every one i tried on looked awful on me.
then i spotted this lovely navy pinafore number from dorothy perkins a month or so ago whilst in town. it goes with almost all of my tops, is the perfect length (on me, anyway) and has just the right amount of thickness to feel quality without me feeling i’m wearing too much. i still want to find a black one of a similar style so that i have an alternate because, well, i’ve been wearing this a lot.
the laura ashley top is one of my favourite semi-recent charity shop finds (when i posted about it i mentioned i was looking for a pinafore dress to wear with it too, ha!). love the vintage look to it and because it’s sheer it’s perfect for layering with dresses like this. i think this is probably the combo i’ve worn the most with the dress, but i’ve also worn my orla kiely x uniqlo top with it too.
the shoes were a welcome – but surprise – find in one of my favourite cardiff charity shops. they look like they’ve never been worn and they fit like a dream. once again, loving the vintage/retro look to them, and i think they look so cute with this outfit.
