i’m bringing back the colour love posts! about time.
as you may well know i love colour, and i love talking about it. it’s fun to make flat lays and think of other fun ways to show off colourful things too. infact, i might make some animations in the future. i’ll aim to do these posts monthly, incase you want to keep an eye out for them.
so, we’re starting back with red and pink. i don’t have that many red things, so i wanted to combine with pink this time around. red and pink is a colour combination that i think is pretty ace, but others frown upon. i do wonder if this is because it’s been taught that they don’t belong together, and people have a hard time going against that.
all of these items (apart from the xoxo banner, the red wooden block, the photo and the pen) are from redcandy. now, this is my kind of shop! heck, even their slogan is ‘shut up, beige!’. their shop is full of colourful home goods, from a variety of brands. you can even sort items by colour, which is something i always love and appreciate when browsing shops.
what do you think of red and pink as a colour combo? or do you prefer one over the other? i personally am a pretty big fan of pink (see my instagram) and have never really been much of a ‘red’ person (despite red being in my surname!) but it has really been growing on me lately.

i thought purple was going to be hard to find things for (that i liked) as i’m not it’s biggest fan. turns out it wasn’t that hard! for me i think the key is vintage things, or smaller items like jewellery or using purple as an accent colour.
what do you think? is purple your thing or do you prefer a different colour on the spectrum?
goodness it was hard just choosing 10 blue things this week. i love blue, and it’s the colour i’ve loved the longest. turquoise is my favourite colour, but blue is just ..special to me. i have a particular memory from when i was little ..i was sorting through my clothes and had them all laid out on the bed and realised that every single thing was blue. okay, so that’s a rubbish story but it always stuck in my mind for some reason. anyway…
