oh navy pinafore dress, where have you been all my life?
i have a black jersey material one that i wear in the summer, but for the longest time i’ve wanted one for the colder months too, that could be worn with blouses or sweaters underneath as well as cardigans on top. i wanted something with a bit of shape to it, but not too fitted. i loved the look of corduroy ones, but every one i tried on looked awful on me. read this post

i haven’t done a charity shop finds post for a while, so i gathered my things on a sunny morning recently to take some photos. there’s a few things missing from this, either because they’re in the wash or because i just couldn’t find them when i was taking the photos, ha!
i’ve never been the kind of person that spends flippantly …i have a hard time making impulse purchases, so even though i still don’t buy that much, i do find myself buying less than i used to. is it an age thing? a being more aware of my surroundings and lifestyle thing? however i’ve always been rather picky, so i typically only buy things if i love them and/or i know they’ll be useful and therefore be worth spending on. read this post

woohoo it’s time for my favourite mustard coloured tights to come out! admittedly i have worn tights on and off during the summer, but these are a little thicker. and they look blummin’ good with my pink coat too ..not time for that yet though. everybody knows it’s the time of the year where the weather isn’t quite summery anymore, but isn’t yet autumn. in the time i took these photos, edited, uploaded etc ..it’s both been super sunny, and dark/pouring with rain. anyway, enough about the weather. read this post

ooh i do love finding a good patterned dress! i think it was partly the slight polka dottiness (totally a word) in the pattern that drew me to it. really though i just liked the shape and thought it looked like a nice comfortable dress. all about the comfort. it does have a little tie around the waist, but as usual i had to use a belt too as i tend to prefer my waist a bit more defined.
