cardiff igers photowalk

out & about, photography by

white, pink and black wall

last sunday i went on an ‘urban photowalk’ arranged by cardiff igers. i’d not been to one before (from these people, i’ve done a couple other photowalks – including the bristol photowalk i was part of!) so was a little bit nervous to begin with! it was a super sunny day which was ideal and made it easy to wonder around slowly.

there was a planned route, that began outside kin + ilk opposite the atrium in town, and ended in the one in pontcanna. we wondered around town, through st davids arcade and up to the top floor of the car parks to take photos looking down on that area of cardiff, by the millennium stadium and the riverside market and through sophia gardens. quite the walk!

the main ‘theme’ was angles, and whist i stuck to that a bit, naturally i just ended up taking the photos i’d take whilst out taking photos anyway – typically the ones that end up in my snapshots posts. for the sake of this post though, i’ve mostly shared the more ‘urban’ shots and will save the rest and my video clips for my next snapshots post.

it was hard to whittle these down, so apologies in advance for the image heavy post, but there’s less here than i wanted to put up!

have you ever been on a photowalk? did you enjoy it? would you ever host one yourself?

Cardiff looks so colourful! I love seeing it through your lens and I think one day I might have to visit :)
